About Timex Watches for Men

Timex was founded in 1854 in Waterbury in the Naugatuck Valley in the US under the name Waterbury Clock. Its sister company Waterbury Watch produced the first Mickey Mouse watch in 1933 under licence of Walt Disney. During World War 2 the name of the company was changed to U.S. Time Company. In 1950 the watch "Timex" was first produced. The name of the company was changed again to Timex Corporation and finally to Timex Group. Since then Timex are said to have sold more than one billion watches. Timex managed to expand its excellent reputation especially in the US and Canada and started producing watches for fashion companies such as Guess, Nautica, Ecko and Versace. Today the company has more than 5500 employees in many countries all over the world including the UK, China, Germany and France. Only Timex made watches have the so called "Indiglo" a background lighting and a special adjustment technique called "Easy-Set".
